The RENZ Inline 500 Compact is the intelligent all-in-one solution for industrial wire comb binding of calendars and brochures up to 500 mm – fully automatic, compact and scalable.
The RENZ Inline 500 Compact is a fully automatic production system for punching and binding calendars and brochures up to 500 mm in width – designed for wire comb binding in both 3:1 and 2:1 pitch. This machine has been specifically developed to meet the requirements of online printing and industrial calendar and brochure production. It combines high-performance punching and binding operations with intelligent material handling using transport pins, a delivery belt, and a stream delivery system. For maximum flexibility, high-performance punching dies are available in both one-part and two-part configurations – all equipped with RENZ QSA (Quick Size Adjustment) technology. This allows punch pins to be deactivated within seconds during format changes – without removing the die. The integrated punching-layer collection station enables the processing of thicker products by punching multiple layers in sequence. These layers are precisely collected and securely transferred to the binding station using transport pins. The fully automatic binding station can be equipped with positively locking closing tools, available for all standard wire diameters in 3:1 and 2:1 pitch. Optional modules such as a job memory with semi-automatic format adjustment, the KAS 300 calendar hanger unit, and a remote maintenance module expand the machine’s modular capabilities. With a high cycle rate of up to 1,200 operations per hour, extremely short set-up times, modular scalability to meet evolving customer requirements, and the ability to interface with various packaging systems, the Inline 500 Compact is a future-proof solution for high-volume production, frequent job changes, and growing demand.
