The RENZ MOBI 500 is a powerful, compact and ergonomically designed semi-automatic binding machine for book, calendar and skip binding using RENZ RING WIRE®. It is ideally suited for medium to high production volumes where flexibility, intuitive operation and process reliability are essential. Even demanding or difficult-to-bind products can be processed reliably with this machine. The pre-punched product is inserted horizontally into the wire element, which is automatically fed and cut from the wire spool – a proven method that, assisted by gravity, ensures safe positioning and fatigue-free operation. The binding cycle is triggered via foot switch, initiating automatic transport to the binding unit while simultaneously feeding the next wire element. Once the product is bound, it is delivered into the standard catch tray. For improved material logistics and processing speed, an optional height-adjustable shingling conveyor with adjustable spacing is available. Additionally, the system can be fitted with a calendar hanger dispenser – either the KA 300 for individual hangers or KA 300 R for reel-fed hangers (each suitable for 80–290 mm lengths), making it especially beneficial for seasonal calendar production. The MOBI 500 features a user-friendly touchscreen interface with integrated format and wire diameter adjustment. Changing wire diameters is fast and tool-free thanks to exchangeable guide plates. The machine binds up to 260 sheets and reaches an output of up to 1,000 cycles per hour with setup times of just 5–6 minutes. Thanks to its well-engineered design, the MOBI 500 can be operated without specialised staff and offers long-term investment security due to its robust German construction.
