DIE CUTTING
Die-Cutting enhances the design and functionality of binders, folders and other presentation media in a number of ways. Interesting cut-aways and peekaboo patterns emphasize printed materials and draw attention to specific messages. In addition, extra pockets or slots for business cards and other collateral material can increase the effectiveness of your presentation package.

OFFSET PRINTING
Custom offset printing allows you to upgrade your document covers with text or graphics in one or multiple colors. You can add that extra splash with dull or gloss varnishes, or laminates (such as aqueous coating). Offset printing is appropriate for most presentation materials, including brochures, proposal covers, binders, and folders. Offset printing also can be used in conjunction with foil stamping, embossing or debossing, diecutting and much more. Because of the numerous variables related to offset printing, there are many ways of saving costs as well. Discuss the options with your BindRite dealer. On demand Digital printing is also a cost-effective alternative to offset printing, but generally for quantities of of 500 pieces or fewer.

EMBOSSING/DEBOSSING
Embossing is a raised design, logo or graphic image that is pressed into the material from underneath. This process is a little more expensive and a little more difficult than the debossing process. It requires two dies, a male and female die, thus creating more production steps and die charges. Embossing can only be done on softcovers.

Debossing impresses a die into the surface of the ChannelBind cover material, leaving a depressed (debossed) imprint of the design, logo, or title on the cover. It is similar to hot foil stamping, decorating the covers without the foil and only leaving the stamped impression (debossed into the material) onto the cover. ChannelBind can deboss both hard and soft covers.

Material compatibility: Embossing can be produced on soft covers only, while deboss decoration can be produced on both soft and hard covers. If decoration is desired on clear cover, foil stamping is recommended.

HOT FOIL STAMPING
Foil Stamping adds a touch of elegance to document covers and is surprisingly affordable. This popular decorating process employs a hot die is applied to foil under pressure, leaving a sharp, detailed imprint of a logo, titling or other graphic design on the cover’s surface. Foils come in a wide variety of color choices; from metallic colors (most common colors are gold and silver), to an ink matte finish. In addition to standard colors, it is often possible to produce matched colors within reasonable tolerance. Hot foil stamping is compatible with both hard covers and soft covers, including most clears. There is usually a one time charge for the die.
